That was the name of the book the classic Clint Eastwood movie “The Outlaw Josey Wales” was based on. I have no idea why I’ve used that title for this post.
Oh yeah, I went to Texas.
Four fantastic days in Ft Worth visiting family and watching football. My brother and sis-in-law moved down there about a year and change ago. And I’ve got two nephews attending UNT and TCU.
Got to see ’em all. And if that wasn’t enough, nephew #1 who’s still up in Chicago, came down with his girlfriend for a wedding. So I got to see them too!
And if that STILL wasn’t enough, another buddy happened into town to see HIS brother and I got to see them! (I think it’s been over a year and a half since I moved to the swamp.)
Anyway, I don’t think I could have planned it any better.
Took in Grapefest — the giant wine festival in Grapevine, TX. Got to see the Horned Frogs of TCU crush the Baylor Bears. And see the mighty Bears beat the Cowboys in the Jerry-dome.
And of course there was the tailgating…

But all good things must come to an end. So it’s back to SoFL and the search for John Galt. . .
